The end of September saw us at The British Antarctic Survey and what an inspirational venue – the United Kingdom’s national Antarctic operation and research station.  Primary school teachers took part in our Primary Engineer® Structures, Mechanism and Basic Electrics course which has been funded by SMT, Webtec and RWE where we ran the theme of ‘Autumn’.

Each local school had been partnered with Engineers across the Cambridgeshire area who also attended the event from SMT, Webtec, ARM, Mott Macdonald, Atkin, Cambs Compressors, Maziak, and Cambridge Consultants.

The day was nicely summarised by a teacher at Fawcett Primary School who commented; “I thought the day was utterly inspiring, I can’t wait to share what I’ve learnt, and I know my students are going to be absolutely besides themselves when they get to do this project in class”
